Student Data Privacy & Household Rights

HBCU Prep AI™ provides academic structure and homeschool records for your family. We believe privacy should be simple, clear, and visible from day one.

Our core privacy commitments

  • No sale of student or household information to third parties.
  • No behavioral advertising or commercial marketing targeted at children.
  • No public student profiles, searchable rosters, or public learning records.
  • Payment card information is handled directly by Stripe and is not stored by HBCU PREP AI.
  • Optional AI tools stay off until a parent makes an affirmative choice in Parent Home.
  • Parents have private tools to clear AI history, download family records, or request corrections.

Information you provide

When you enroll, join an Open House, or request information, we collect only the contact, student grade, and family details needed to set up your household, connect children to their parent, and provide academic support.

Academic and portfolio records

We store coursework, assignments, demonstrated mastery, attendance notes, and portfolio artifacts so your family has a clear record of progress. These records are visible to authenticated parents and their students, not the general public.

Optional AI learning support

Student AI Tutor and Family Assistant are optional tools designed to give bounded hints and answers. They remain turned off until a parent turns them on in Parent Home. We do not use student conversations to train third-party foundation models.

Third-party provider verification

Before live student AI support is activated, HBCU PREP AI requires independent verification of the selected provider’s student-data terms, retention controls, and safety agreements.

Parental rights and data controls

Authenticated parents can view their household data, download an export of academic records, clear raw AI conversation history, submit correction requests, or submit an account erasure request under human review once billing is closed.
